Susan Caughman President & CEO
Susan CaughmanSusan Caughman served in a number of senior executive positions during her publishing career, including Senior Vice President for Consumer Marketing, Time Inc., and circulation and general management positions at LIFE, Time, and Newsweek magazines. Caughman has a long history of work in support of families and children. As both a Peace Corps volunteer and a program director for the American Friends Service Committee, she launched a variety of health and development programs for rural women in West Africa. Later, as one of the earliest adopters from China, Caughman helped found Families with Children from China, a national support group of over 50,000 families. Caughman is a graduate of Middlebury College and the Yale School of Management. She lives in New York City with her family.

Wayne Kalyn – Editor, ADDitude
wayne kalynWayne has written and edited for many top consumer magazines and newspapers, and been nominated for several writing awards. He has also written several books. Kalyn worked for Men’s Journal (which won an ASME National Magazine Award while he was there), Health magazine, and Reader’s Digest as editorial director of health books. He wants to write a collection of short stories or poetry.

Eve Gilman Editor, Adoptive Families
Eve brings the perspective of an adult adoptee to all the parenting advice and personal stories that appear in Adoptive Families magazine and on adoptivefamilies.com. She has been with the magazine for nearly a decade, having joined New Hope Media as an intern.

Anni Layne Rodgers – Digital Marketing Director
anni rodgersA veteran of Rolling Stone Online and Fast Company, Anni began her career studying and profiling rising stars in the music and business worlds. After earning her MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School, she founded an independent consulting company delivering digital strategy to growing magazines. As web director for The Build Network at Inc.magazine, she relaunched TheBuildNetwork.com and forged a custom microsite business. At New Hope Media, Anni oversees the online strategies for ADDitude and Adoptive Families, which introduced an overhauled membership site in December 2014. Anni is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and lives in Mystic, Connecticut, with her husband, two children, and black Lab.

Anne Mazza – Advertising Director

Anne Mazza is the director of advertising at New Hope Media. She has been in advertising sales for the past 16 years, working for niche market publications. She came to New Hope Media in 2009 to sell advertising for ADDitude magazine, a publication for families and adults affected by ADHD and LD. Not long after, she took on advertising sales for all titles at New Hope Media, including the adoption publications and Web sites.

Anne lives in New York City with her husband. Her young-adult son (who has ADHD) is a US Navy Yeoman Seaman. She raised two stepchildren, who also live in New York City, and has one grandson, adopted from Russia.

Ron Anteroinen – Consulting Art Director

Ron is a New York City-based art director and designer with a background in fine art and a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. He studied digital design at Pratt Manhattan and School of Visual Arts. Ron has worked in many areas of graphic design over the years, from advertising at Y&R to POP retail at Medallion Retail, web production at softObjects inc, and publishing at Kaplan and Scholastic. His desire to work on material with a deep sense of community purpose has led him to become Consulting Art Director for New Hope Media.

Janice Rodden – Senior Digital Editor
Janice RoddenJanice is a New York City-based writer and copy editor who (vicariously) lived the life of luxury blogging with Haute Living magazine and became tech savvy writing software guides for Vitech Systems Group, Inc. She is a proud Fordham alum who edited ESL textbooks with Grupo Santillana while living in Madrid and discovered the fun of creating tests (instead of taking them) with Pearson Education and LearningMate Solutions. Janice holds an MA in Sociology and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and Alpha Sigma Nu.

 

Susan Sidler – Circulation Director
Susan is a magazine circulation and direct marketing professional with 32 years of experience. Prior to starting her own business in 1997, she held high-level consumer marketing positions at various publishing companies including Meredith Corporation and Rodale Press. Susan’s expertise centers on the development of successful direct marketing and internet promotions for her clients. Her extensive list of clients has included Nickelodeon, Children’s Television Workshop, Yankee Magazine, Archaeology, Cornell University, King Arthur Flour, Running Times, Love of Quilting, American Woodworker, Make: Magazine, and other publishers of special interest consumer magazines. Susan lives with her husband in Cornwall, Pennsylvania.

Hope Goodrich – Web Assistant

Hope, a native New Yorker, graduated from Oberlin College in 2014 with a degree in Environmental Studies. She spent a year doing community service and land management for the AmeriCorps Cape Cod Program. She now lives in Jersey City, New Jersey and works as a web assistant for New Hope Media.
